Happy Friday

If you have seven minutes and either some headphones or an office mate who doesn’t mind, this virtual ride down San Francisco’s Market street is a ride worth taking. The video, shot from a streetcar in 1905 (before the quake), takes you down towards the Ferry Building and captures all the quirky driving and pedestrian antics of the time. Be sure to listen to the music too.

  1. Thanks, that looked great from the first few minutes. I want to watch in its entirety when I get back home to a non-wimpy netbook.

I dug the tune, too…gotta look into more of that.

  2. Hope you get to watch the whole thing. I was hooked when I started to notice the kids goofing off in front of the trolley. It’s also a rare shot to see u-turns on Market street, so you’ve got to jump at the opportunity. 😉
